Mr. Syed is an accomplished entrepreneur who has more than 14 years of experience in Global Services. Mr. Syed joined UCA Systems, Inc., as Vice President of IT services in December 1998. In the first two years, he spearheaded the creation and development of two online businesses, a rating agency for online stores in the US and a business to business offering in India enabling traditional retail merchants to offer their products to consumers. Mr. Syed then co-founded UCA Services, Inc., as a separate entity with the primary objective of providing high quality IT Professional and Consulting Services in the areas of Managed Services, IT Staff Augmentation, Infrastructure Builds, Maintenance and Application Development. Mr. Syed is an expert in the development of best practices in the IT domains listed above, channel and direct sales strategies and effective service delivery models (on-shore and off-shore). In the capacity of Managing Director, he grew the company to 200 people and $17 million in revenue in just four years. Mr. Syed also held prominent positions in development and management of Financial Products at the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), a pioneer Housing Finance Institution in the private sector in India.

Mr. Syed holds a Masters Degree in Development Sciences from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India; a Bachelors degree in Sociology from Aligarh University, India and a Diploma in Systems from National Institute of Information Technology, Mumbai, India.
